Therapy is a great source of support when going through a major life transition. This could be a new baby, menopause or loss. We offer perinatal and perimenopause therapy, and can support you through a grief or divorce.

Emotionally focused couples therapy gets to the root cause of recurring conflict that keeps couples from feeling close and connected.

How much does it cost?

We offer free 15 minute consultations for new patients. If we are the right fit for you, our individual sessions run 50 minutes and cost $165.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I direct bill with Telus Claims, which has many policies listed in the table below, and Blue Cross. However, every individual policy is different and it is the client's responsibility to find out the coverage their policy provides for Registered Counselling Therapists services.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer Individual Therapy, Child and Adolescent Therapy both in person at our Halifax location and online with clients from across Canada. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, despression, realtionship issues or other mental health challenges, as an experienced therapist I am here to support you.

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions at Chapman Counselling Therapy are confidential to ensure your privacy and comfort.

What will a counselling session look like?

It is perfectly normal to feel nervous going into your first session. The intake sesssion is an opportunity for you to get to know me and discuss your goals for therapy. Together, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your history and what you hope to gain from the process. We will decide on frequency of sessions and any other questions you have.

Our office is conveniently located in Halifax's South End. We also offer virtual therapy services for those who prefer or are located in other areas of Nova Scotia and beyond.
